What Is FocusFlight?
FocusFlight is a free, browser-based focus timer that turns each work or study session into an airline journey. Instead of staring at a countdown, you pick a destination, board your flight, and settle into focus as the cabin ambience plays and the route map tracks your progress across the globe.
It's a Pomodoro alternative built for people who find plain timers easy to ignore. The flight metaphor adds narrative structure — a beginning (boarding), a middle (the flight), and an ending (safe landing) — which makes it psychologically harder to bail mid-session.
Our Mission
We believe the biggest obstacle to focused work isn't willpower — it's the absence of commitment structure. A plain timer with a red number is easy to dismiss. A flight you've already boarded is not.
Our mission is simple: help people focus better by making their work sessions feel like meaningful journeys with a clear beginning, middle, and end.

Flight-Themed Sessions
Every focus session is a flight. Pick a home airport, choose a destination, board your plane, and stay in your seat until you land.

A real-time flight map shows your plane moving from departure to destination as your session progresses.

How It Started
FocusFlight was created by the FocusFlight Team out of a shared frustration: we kept abandoning plain Pomodoro timers. The number would count down, a notification would pop up, and we'd close the tab without ever really committing.
One day, someone noticed they were always weirdly productive on long flights — no Wi-Fi, nowhere to go, just the task in front of them and the hum of the cabin. The question became: what if we could recreate that psychological environment anywhere?
The flight metaphor was the answer. When you board a flight, you commit. You don't walk off the plane because you got bored. You stay for the journey. We built FocusFlight to bring that same sense of committed forward motion to everyday work sessions.

The Team
FocusFlight is built and maintained by the FocusFlight Team — a small group of people who care deeply about helping others focus. We believe great tools should be free, fast, and focused on doing one thing really well.
We're always listening to feedback. If you have ideas for how to make FocusFlight better, reach out.
